We take seriously the opportunity to grow your child to love and worship Jesus. As we teach biblical truths, we will love your child unconditionally just as Christ loves each one of us. It is a privilege for us to share with all children that Jesus is the Son of God who died for sins, rose from the dead, and will return again.

At First Bradenton our desire is to help children grow up to be like Christ, as outlined in Luke 2:52. We believe church should be a place where children:

  1. Mature in their faith
  2. Form meaningful connections with friends and leaders
  3. Serve those in need
  4. Have fun in a safe environment

These beliefs are woven within the ministries we provide for children at First Bradenton.

“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” – Luke 2:52

We know that it can be challenging to find your place as an adult in a church while being a parent, so we have designed our ministry to have something for your child from the start of Life Groups to the end of the Worship Service.

Life Groups happen at 9:00 am where children birth through 5th grade are in a small group of peers. Each Life Group has a qualified leader that teaches children in a variety of engaging age appropriate activities dealing with the week’s lesson and theme.

Kid’s Worship takes place during the 10:30 worship service for Elementary Age Children. Children are challenged every Sunday to trust God, make wise choices, build lasting friendships, and respect themselves and others. Our staff and volunteers who spend time with children believe that the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and every leader always cares. Kid’s Worship is a time designed to engage children in worship within a large group setting. Music, games, and an innovative approach to the Bible Story are always part of this experience.

Preschool and Toddler Worship also takes place during the 10:30 worship service but is for children Birth through 4 or 5 years of age. This time is designed to get children moving and learning about a big God who made them, loves them, and wants to be their friend forever. Singing, an engaging Bible Story, and games are always a part of this fun time.

Intersection (Our Wednesday evening kids group) meets Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:00 to 7:45. Intersection is where faith and life intersect. Intersection is dived into several groups as well as gender through our Kids KREW, Royal Ambassadors, Girls In Action, and Mission and Friends programs. Each week at Intersection includes a rotation schedule.

Kids KREW is all about kids radically expressing worship through the fine arts. Each week kids will learn how to worship God in one of the four areas of the fine arts: music, drama, dance, and visual arts. Kids will be able to express their creative side in those mediums by various means such as musicals, special performances, and show cases.

During RA’s, GA’s, and Mission Friends the kids will be taking a journey into Scripture in order to build a foundation of life transformation. They will uncover new experiences through hands-on activities that encourage spiritual growth, life skills, team work, and mentoring relationships with leaders.

Kids KREW – 6:00pm to 6:45pm

RA’s, GA’s, and Mission Friends – 6:45pm to 7:45pm

FBC has taken measures to insure your child’s safety.

While on our church property during Sunday services and Wednesday night activities, we employ a security officer.

While in our care, we use an electronic Check-in system, which helps our church manage security for children, track attendance, monitor rooms, and provide the safest, quickest check-in and check-out process possible.

While in the classrooms, your child will be in the care of teachers, volunteers, or employees who have been screened through an application process, a background check, interviews, and continuous training.

We also have an electronic door locking system know as FOB. To provide safety and security we lock the doors into the First Kids building 20 minutes after the service has started and unlock the doors 10 minutes prior to the service ending. In order to gain access to the building a person will need to be let in using a call button.
